Tara Carpets expertly installed Altro Aquarius™ Tern & Altro Whiterock™ wall designs Urban Mineral in the iconic Cliffs of Moher Tourism Centre in Co. Clare.
The subfloor was thoroughly prepared before adding the floor covering.
The Altro Aquarius™ was formed up the wall using ROMUS Cove Former 38 X 38 – 2189 to accentuate the floor settling into the curve of the wall.
The Altro Whiterock™ wall designs cladding overlaps the Altro Aquarius™ to give a clean finish. This also helps with the maintenance of the system with no trims (dirt catcher) being required in this installation.
The wall cladding is thermoformed into and out of the internal and external corners, giving a neat finish.
The wall design, gives an authentic feel which fits in beautifully with its rustic surroundings.
The system (walls & floors) is totally sealed making it water proof and offers a high level of slip resistance (R11 slip rating - Altro Aquarius).
Altro Whiterock™ wall designs comes in natural wood, metal, stone and linen options. Gives an elegance to interior walls while providing the durability you expect from an Altro Whiterock wall sheet.
Perfect for general circulation areas as well as wet environments such as bathrooms and spas, creating a design focal point.
It is fitted like an Altro Whiterock sheet, and can be combined with Altro floors for a fully sealed, impervious solution for non-critical hygiene environments. It can also be used with Altro Whiterock and Altro Fortis wall sheets in adjacent areas.
Matching silicone sealants are available, as well as five co-ordinating and contrasting Altro Whiterock trims.

Altro Aquarius™ Achieving Class B to DIN 51097 for barefoot use, plus PTV ≥50 (Slider 96), it provides optimum lifetime sustained slip resistance in wet and dry environments.

ROMUS Cove Former 38 X 38 – 2189 is a crucial element in floor fitting for many contractors.
It slots into the angle under the floor covering between the floor and the wall and, once installed with the covering, creates a rounded shape that prevents particles or bacteria from stagnating. It also facilitates easy cleaning of the floor and wall junction and reduces the risk of covering breakage.
Capping seals, usually used with cover formers, are flexible PVC cap strips used to finish the top of a resilient floor covering that has been coved up the wall.
